I've been using this Rowenta for a week. It's easier to use and works better than the stick vacuum I bought several years ago, but for this price I expected a lot more.

I use stick vacuums only for small jobs so, for me, if it has 10 minutes of good suction per use, that's about all I need (for the prep area of the kitchen and to keep the bathrooms and laundry room floors hair/lint free). This machine runs at full power for much longer than that.

It does a very good job on hair, powders and very small particles. However, it just takes way too many passes to get it to pick up larger debris such as small dry pasta or cereal, which I find really frustrating.

The triangular head is great for corners, but it's also the reason why so many passes are needed; it doesn't fit behind bathroom fixtures, and other such spaces, like sticks with the traditional straight narrow heads do.

I don't find the cup particularly difficult to empty, it's just that you need another vacuum to clean that cup and the sponge filter, if you don't want some of the dust to wind up back on your floors. Speaking of the sponge filter, the machine is shipped with two of those.

The good:

- It's light.
- Does a very good job at picking up fine debris and hair.
- Good suction power

The not so good:

- Not very good at picking up larger debris (like dry pasta/cereal).
- Quite noisy.
- Not very stable, tends to tip over a lot.
- Charging seems to take longer than my old stick vacuum (I don't mind this much because I only use this machine once a day; it would be an issue if I had to use it several times a day).
- Pricey for what it does.
